but there is a responsibility to attack erronious information. There are quite a few threads lately where he states erronious info, quite often as absolute fact. Now bad info can be corrected.without comment. As such there is a bit of a responsibility about informational accuracy here. and it is a forum many folk use to research their retail purchase. which isn't really bad, it just means uninformed.but know evryone takes it badly so I changed my wording to be kinder and gentler. The fact is that I did attack the credibility of the information.and stated he was MISINFORMED rather than STUPID. I never called anyone stupid or remarked on their intelligence. good training plus a good katana equals optimum performance. Please remember that the katana evolved to be the sword it is in conjunction with sophisticated sword arts. closer in than say 4.5 inches is IMO almost worthless for a katana. Somewhere around 5-6 inch POB is perfect for me. a little closer in for a dedicated kata sword. Most katana are balanced somewhere around 6 inches from the tsuba. but suffice it to say that the katana is a mass foward sword. I'm not going to get into harmonics and polar moment here.too much to it. that is something that a katana isn't meant to have. I assume that what is meant by it here is balance at the tsuba. "Perfect balance" is a tough thing to define. thus the question.īut why someone would come in behind him with information that is obviously inexperience disguised as experience, I'll never helps when I realize it is the same person that praised a Windlass over a high end Hanwei in another thread.that tells me that the person is just woefully misinformed, and needs patient correction. I can understand the OP perhaps not understanding about physics of different type swords.
